I once got very obviously cruised by (A)Lanah Pellay while I was walking across Seven Dials with my dear old ma. I'm not sure who was more disconcerted, me or ma.
I liked him in that Comic Strip thing where Keith Allen plays the criminal who hijacks a taxi, and LP was a dozy popstar on his way to an interview at Capital Radio.
Ah yes, I remember dear Lanah from a nightclub in, I think, Leeds. I know I was off visiting some dyke pen-pals (remember them, kids?) and she was performing. She took quite a shine to me, gave me a lovely smile and wave from the stage. (I could have been the only one paying attention to the act.)
Alan turned up recently at David Hoyle's show at Soho Theatre, he was twittering round the bar in rather a nervous fashion. Didn't remember me, of course ;o(
